A dialogue between a Flower and a Pearl…

One day, a brilliantly beautiful and fragrant flower with
attractive colors met a pearl that lives far in the bottom of the
sea and has none of these characteristics.

Both got acquainted with each other.

The flower said: "Our family is large; roses and daisies are
members of the family. And there are many other species that are
various and countless, each has a distinctive scent, appearance
.etc."

Suddenly, a tinge of distress appeared on the
flower.

"Nothing accounts for sorrow in your talk; so why are depressed?"
The pearl asked.

"Human beings deal with us carelessly; they slight us. They don’t
grow us for our sake but to get pleasure from our fragrance and
beautiful appearance. They throw us on the street or in the garbage
can after we are dispossessed of the most valuable properties;
brilliance and fragrance" The flower sighed.

And then the flower said to the pearl: "Speak to me about your
life! How do you live? How do you feel it? You are buried in the
bottom of the sea. "

The pearl answered: "Although I have none of your distinctive
colors and sweet scents, humans think I am precious. They do the
impossible to procure me. They go on long journeys, dive deep in
the seas searching for me. You might be astounded to know that the
further I lay, the more beautiful and brilliant I become. That’s
what upraises my value in their thought. I live in a thick shell
isolated in the dark seas. However, I’m happy and proud to be in a
safe zone far from wanton and mischievous hands and still the
humans consider me highly valuable"

Do you know what the flower and the pearl symbolize?

The Flower is the unveiled woman (who shows her charms)
and the Pearl is the veiled woman (who conceals her beauties)

LAA TAKHAF WA LAA TAHZAN

LAA TAKHAF WA LAA TAHZAN

Wahai kau yg dibelenggu rantai takut dan gelisah..
Pelajarilah mutu kata Nabawi "Laa Tahzan"
Jangan takut tak beketentuan..
Jika adalah padamu Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa
Lemparkanlah jauh-jauh segala takut dan bimbang

Lemparkan cita untung dan rugi..
Kuatkan iman sekuat tenaga..

Luapan takut bimbang
"LAA TAKHAF WA LAA TAHZAN"

(Dr. Muhammad Iqbal)

Jangan Takut dan Bimbang sesungguhnya Allah beserta orang2 yg beriman dan bertaqwa kepadaNya.

Your Worth….

You know the value of every article of merchandise,
but if you don’t know the value of your own soul,
it’s all foolishness.
You’ve come to know the fortunate and the inauspicious stars,
but you don’t know whether you yourself
are fortunate or unlucky.
This, this is the essence of all sciences-
that you should know who you will be
when the Day of Reckoning arrives.

~Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, Mathnawi III, 2652-2654

Let go of your worries

Let go of your worries and be completely clear-hearted,
like the face of a mirror that contains no images.
If you want a clear mirror,
behold yourself and see the shameless truth,
which the mirror reflects.
If metal can be polished to a mirror-like finish,
what polishing might the mirror of the heart require?
Between the mirror and the heart is this single difference:
the heart conceals secrets, while the mirror does not.

The Lover And The Beloved

The Lover And The Beloved

A man knocked at the door of his beloved.
"Who are you, trusted one?" thus asked the friend.
He answered: "I!" The friend said: "Go away,
Here is no place for people raw and crude!"
What, then, could cook the raw and rescue him
But separation’s fire and exile’s flame?
The poor man went to travel a whole year,
And burnt from separation from his friend,
And he matured, was cooked and burnt, returned
And carefully approached the friend’s abode.
He walked aound it now in cautious fear
Lest from his lips unfitting words appear.
His friend called out: "Who is there at my door?"
The answer: "You, dear, you are at the door?"
He said: "Come in, now that you are all I-
There is no room in this house for two ‘I’s!"

STAY CLOSE, MY HEART

STAY CLOSE, MY HEART

Stay close, my heart, to the one who knows your ways;
Come into the shade of the tree that allays has fresh flowers.
Don’t stroll idly through the bazaar of the perfume-markers:
Stay in the shop of the sugar-seller.
If you don’t find true balance, anyone can deceive you;
Anyone can trick out of a thing of straw,
And make you take it for gold
Don’t squat with a bowl before every boiling pot;
In each pot on the fire you find very different things.
Not all sugarcanes have sugar, not all abysses a peak;
Not all eyes possess vision, not every sea is full of pearls.
O nightingale, with your voice of dark honey! Go on lamenting!
Only your drunken ecstasy can pierce the rock’s hard heart!
Surrender yourself, and if you cannot be welcomes by the Friend,
Know that you are rebelling inwardly like a thread
That doesn’t want to go through the needle’s eye!
The awakened heart is a lamp; protect it by the him of your robe!
Hurry and get out of this wind, for the weather is bad.
And when you’ve left this storm, you will come to a fountain;
You’ll find a Friend there who will always nourish your soul.
And with your soul always green, you’ll grow into a tall tree
Flowering always with sweet light-fruit, whose growth is interior.
~Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi
